One Month Until School Already?

One Month Until School Already?

Hi Everybody!

While the back-to-school days are approaching again, most have probably not realized that summer is already past halfway over and we have less than a month until school starts back up again. Crazy! However, without a doubt, I can say that this summer has been the best time of my life. Getting my license before summer unveiled an enormous amount of opportunities to hang out with friends and accomplish some of my goals. Allowing me within the past month to do things I’ve only imagined about, as I was finally able to purchase a photography drone that I had aspired to buy for the past year now. A couple of days after that, my family and I left to travel to both South Carolina and Georgia for our vacation. I had a blast and I was finally able to get a tan, although, I had to leave vacation a day early to fly to South Dakota alone to play at a regional soccer tournament. One of the best experiences of my life, as I got to compete and watch extremely high levels of soccer and see Falls Park (Picture Below). After arriving back home, I have been overwhelmed with High School soccer fitness everyday of the week, work, and hanging out with friends. I have been soooo busy! Summer is going by in a flash!

Sean Tarbuck – Class of 2019

Hi everyone! My name is Sean Tarbuck and I will be going into 11th grade this Fall! This upcoming year for High School is going to be a super challenging year for me, with taking 4 AP courses, and 3 honors I will have to work very hard to maintain a good GPA! Not to mention, I love getting involved within the community and the school so I will also will be packed with clubs like VOFT, POFT, PBIS, Huddle, Student Council, and Spanish Club. However, in my off time during the summer I love spending my time relaxing at the pool, running, and hanging out with friends. This summer, I also will be traveling all over for vacation and soccer! I can not wait to be by the beach and have my feet in the sand. For vacation I am going to South Carolina, Georgia and then right after Georgia, I am flying to South Dakota for soccer. Crazy right? In the middle of nowhere. Summer is already flying by, but hey, I’m having a blast :D. The first picture below is my Brunswick High School Soccer Picture and the other image is a picture of the beach we go to in Georgia!

Felicia Pasadyn – Class of 2019

Felicia Pasadyn – Class of 2019

Hi, everyone!

My name is Felicia Pasadyn and I am a three sport student-athlete at Brunswick High School. In the fall, I enjoy long distance running in the Cross Country program at BHS. (This year, the CC program plans to make a new 5k course right here in Brunswick! We are very excited for this new renovation!)

In the winter, I swim for the high school, and in the spring, I run track. These many activities can be stressful at times, but the constant challenge and business keeps me interested and excited!

In the summertime, I swim on a club team and begin to build up miles for cross country in the fall. We run, beginning mid-July, around the scenic Hinckley Lake. This summer, specifically, I plan to volunteer at Medina Hospital and camp around different campgrounds in Ohio, such as Mohican State Park in my free time.

Now that you know a little bit about me, my future blog posts about life as a Brunswick High School student-athlete will hopefully be helpful to you and many others!

Andrea Schieberl – Class of 2020

Andrea Schieberl – Class of 2020

Hello, my name is Andrea Schieberl and I am going into 10th grade here at BHS. You can see me participate in events for PBIS, VOFT, and Student Council. I don’t have the most interesting life, I merely look at the little things as they signify the most. So far, these little things have included spending time with my friends and family, making unforgettable memories, exploring new places around our community, walking my dog, bentley, laughing a lot with my mom, learning something new everyday, and cherishing every moment here, and yet to come. This summer, I look forward to creating many more unforgettable memories, relaxing, reading (I’m definitely a nerd), and bettering myself as a person. I was a previously on the football and basketball Freshman Cheer Team. This year, I plan on trying out for the 2017-2018 Cheer Season at BHS, in which I wish everyone the best of luck, especially the incoming freshman, for I was in their position last year and it could be very overwhelming! Some things you may see me write about in the future will mostly be what I have done this summer and what lessons I have learned throughout all of these. I think I’m funny and laugh at myself most of the time, so hopefully this will be more interesting in the blogs to come. Thank you for your time, I hope you’re looking forward to reading more about my summer!

Alexandria Theiss – Class of 2020

Alexandria Theiss – Class of 2020

Hi! My name is Alexandria Theiss and I’m going into 10th grade at BHS this fall. I am going to be on the Dancin Devils team during basketball season and (hopefully) cheerleading this fall. I’m also a member of PBIS, Voft, and Student Council. I love to read, watch movies, take pictures, and explore new places. Some other random facts about me, I have a pet hedgehog, I love mermaids (and wish they were real), bacon is my favorite food, I dance on the competitive company at Elite Dance Academy, and I am very clumsy/have terrible luck (which has caused very embarrassing moments). This summer I plan on spending a lot of time with my friends, watching Netflix, swimming, going to concerts, and going to Cedar Point. In future blog posts, you can expect to see me writing about my friends, sports, and other things going on at the High School. The first picture below is me at the beach last summer and the second picture is me and my friend Andrea before cheering at the Homecoming game last fall!

Hello Brunswick!

Hello Brunswick!

What is it like to be a high school student today? Through stories, photos and videos our students hope to answer that question as well as many more for you!

Over the course of the summer months, and continuing into the school year, you will hear stories from our high school students. Ranging from study abroad trips and internships, to fine art experiences and athletics, you will get a glimpse into the world of a Brunswick High School student.

You might be asking yourself, why a blog? Well, let us tell you!

Gives Students a Voice – Content posted will be 100% student generated. Students might be given suggestions, but what they write about is ultimately up to them! We want to showcase their individual personalities and viewpoints! Through their posts, students can share their interests, passions, and maybe even challenges to the readers. Blogs have the capability to support of variety of content including text, photos and videos. It allows the students to generate a post that is creative and reflective of them!

Two-Way Communication – Blogging is a platform that provides engagement with audiences near and far. It provides feedback through comments and allows our students to engage in meaningful conversation with the reader.

Connects Students and the Outside World – Our students are doing great things all the time! Blogging not only shows a new perspective to our readers, but to the students as well. The world is our classroom and with a blog, there is no limit to how far it can reach!

It’s Fun! – The students are excited to share their stories and experiences! Students are not required to participate, or generate a specific number of posts, nor do they receive a grade or class credit for participating. Every student involved in this blog has volunteered their time.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy reading the stories of our Brunswick  students, or as we like to call it: The Brunswick Experience!
